The name lily comes from the Latin word for this type of flower, “lilium." The flowers represent purity, innocence and rebirth.

As is pertains to religion , they often represent the Virgin Mary, and are also often depicted at the Resurrection of Christ.

Lilies also represent femininity and fertility. As the flowers most often associated with funerals, lilies symbolize that the soul of the departed has received restored innocence after death. The objective of Ladies In Leadership International is to provide education, empowerment, edification, and community to Women who operate in Various Leadership Capacities.
